Green pu-erh.

Green pu-erh. Traditional Chinese tea.

Green pu-erh tea is the oldest sort of pu-erh tea. Actually before the 70th of the 20th century most pu-erh was green type process. It is still made in a traditional way. Leaves do not undergo fermenting – they are left green before being dried. This sort of tea can be aged for several years. It is not newly manufactured and sold. You can even find pu-erh tea which is 50 years old (but mind – the price can be sky-high).

Pu-erh tea can be sold either in loose leave or in compressed form. Being a traditional Chinese tea it can be shaped not only in the form of a brick. Different symbols (such as coins) are made of it. Buying it you’ll have not only unique taste and flavor, but a souvenir for good reminiscences. By the way, pu-erh can be stored for long. The longer it is stored, the better it becomes.

Some Rules of Infusing Green Pu-erh Tea.

To make a good mug of tea you should follow some simple rules. As it is stored in the ground, it is recommended to wash leaves – to pour some water into the cup and then empty it out.
